How it works

An initial R1 000 (one thousand rand) deposit is payable on returning the family profile form to us. The balance of our fee is payable on the day the candidate has been chosen.  This equates to 15% (fifteen percent) of the annual salary, which is covered by a 3 month warranty, terms and condition of which are outlined below.

We would take a comprehensive job and character specification details from you. From this we would present you with a short list of maximum 3 (three) candidates, together with their CV’s references and qualifications.  Interviews take place at our offices.

The facilitator will sit in during the interview, assist you with the interview and be available to answer any questions. The facilitator will make sure that the duties are clearly defined and that the candidates are suitably, able and willing to perform them. 

When you have selected an employee, we can assist you with the employment contract.  In terms of the contract your new employee would be subject to a probationary period of up to 90 days.  The contract falls within the parameters of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and clearly outlines all duties and obligations for both parties. Our facilitators will be present when the contract is drawn up to make sure that the new employee clearly understands what is expected of them.

Should the Client cancel the arranged interviews or employment before commencement of duties, the Client will be liable for the full placement fee, even if the interview has not taken place nor has the contract of employment been signed as yet. Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic, would have already fulfilled its obligations to the Client in finding them a suitable candidate/s.

The Client must inform Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic immediately if they wish to employ a candidate. Should any candidates referred by Rent a Gardener (Pty)Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic be employed by the Client on any terms whatsoever which exclude the agency's involvement, within a 1 (one) year period of the original introduction, the Client will then be liable to pay the normal fee as stipulated below. The Client will also be liable for this fee if a member of the Client's family or any other person who was introduced to the candidate by the Client employs any of our candidate/s.

Should the Client not pay the placement fee within the specified time period, then Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic will take legal action against the Client for all outstanding money as well as for all legal and investigation costs incurred.

Once a candidate has accepted an offer of employment from the Client, the Client is liable for the placement fee even if the employer or employee has not signed the Contract of Employment.

WARRANTY

Should the employee not prove satisfactory we will be pleased to provide a replacement at no further charge during the warranty period of 90 days from the date of employment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

OUR FEE - is calculated as a percentage of the employee’s annual salary.  This is due and payable on the day the candidate has been chosen. Our fee is 15% of the annual salary.  This full fee is payable by the employer and there is no charge to the prospective employees.  Employment of a candidate referred by Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic will be deemed to be acceptance of our terms and conditions. Should the Client cancel the candidate's interview or employment before commencement of duties, the Client will be liable for the full placement fee even if the interview has not taken place nor has the Contract of Employment been signed. Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic, would have already fulfilled its obligations to the Client in finding them a suitable candidate/s.

OUR WARRANTY - is subject to validation, which is by full payment being made immediately of the employee commencing employment.  The warranty is not valid where the candidate is no longer employed due to termination owing to operational requirements, unfair labour practices or breach of contract with the employee.

REPLACEMENT - Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd, Incorporating Rent a Domestic undertakes to replace the employee with a candidate willing and able to fulfil the same tasks and duties as in the original employee’s contract. Whereas every effort is made to replace the employee as soon as possible, Rent a Gardener (Pty) Ltd undertakes to replace the employee within 14 (fourteen) days of the employee leaving or of being advised that a replacement is required.
