Nowadays there are a vast array of upholstery fabrics on offer with an even wider range of colours and material used. It is therefore extremely important that the correct tests are carried out prior to cleaning to make sure all colours are colour-fast and all materials are safe to wet clean using the hot water extraction method. Once the upholstery has passed these tests we then inspect it for areas of wear, tears and staining. This is done so we can give an honest assessment of how well we think the upholstery will clean.
A pre-spray is applied to all areas that require the most attention, this pre-spray avoid the need for excessive use of water and reduces drying times. On average a 3 piece suite will take 90 to 120 minutes to clean and a further 4 to 8 hours to dry completely. The drying times will be longer for suites where we had to spend additional time on certain heavily soiled areas. Leather suites are, in most cases cleaned and conditioned by hand and are ready to use immediately after the cleaning is completed.
